Grand Turk, the nation's capital, is one if the main historical points of the islands. It is home to the Turks and Caicos National Museum, which exhibits one of the most important underwater archaeological discoveries, the Molasses Reef Wreck, and artifacts from Columbus' first landfall. Providenciales, more commonly known as "Provo," is where honeymooners can journey through Chalk Sound National Park or visit the ruins of one of the oldest plantations, Cheshire Hall. Middle Caicos, the largest island, offers limestone cliffs, swampland, tidal flats, and the Conch Bar Caves. |

Scuba diving and snorkeling are by far the most popular activities in the Turks and Caicos. The reef system surrounding the islands is 250-miles long - the third largest in the world. |
