This Month's Tip(s) Baggage Fees.
I have to say this has been the craziest summer when it comes to keeping up with the airlines. Most airlines are charging for checked-in luggage but not in all cases. That is where I needed my secret decoder ring to decipher who was doing what. And just as I programmed my secret decoder ring, an airline would change their policy.
Fortunately my professional association (ASTA) put together a chart of the various airline's baggage fees. I thought I would share it with you. Below is a link to the chart. It is a PDF file so you will need Adobe Reader to open it.

But keep in mind, airlines are changing all the time so always double check with your airline. Do I think some of the airlines will do away with the fees? My opinion is NO, these fees are here to stay.
I have said this before and people laugh at me, but I expect in the future to find the credit card swiper to enter the bathroom on the plane. Can you imagine the money the airlines can make on that one!
