Beach-The beach is pretty typical for this area of Puerto. Charges (extra) - Golf, hairdresser, motorized water sports and spa services would be extra. Distances- very convenient to town, only 10 min, approximate $4 cab ride. Only 5 minutes from airport. Don’t worry about being so close to airport, did not hear or see any planes taking off or landing. Entertainment on Property -Varied entertainment and activities during the day. Plenty of entertainment in town during the evening. Fitness Area - They do have a very nice fitness area and spa.
Getting Around- Do not need a car and cabs are pretty inexpensive in and out of town. Internet Access -There is an hourly charge for wireless internet access. Jackets and Ties- Keep them at home, but bring slacks and polo shirt for dinner in the A la Carte restaurants. Kids-They have Kids Club for 4-12 years of age but this would not be my first choice of properties for families with younger kids. Lighting-Well lit at night Medical Services-on call medical services. Negatives-The only negative is the number of restaurants compared to some of the other all-inclusive resorts. Nightlife- Plenty of nightlife just a cab ride away. They have a show on site at the property if do not want to go into town.
Pool-Three very nice pools and close to the rooms so you do not feel like you have to walk a mile to get to the pool. Protection-in room safe Recreation-non motorized water sports, gym, tennis and spa facility. Rooms-Spacious studio suites and they offer 1, 2 and 3 bedroom suites. Very spacious and all have great views. Shopping-small gift shop on property. Plenty of shopping downtown. SPA-Excellent spa facilities. Terrain-Pretty flat Updates-They now have a convention center that I do not remember from the first time I stayed there. View-Ocean views from all of the rooms! This is really nice.
WOW Factor-I would say, the minute you walk into the lobby, the feeling is this is a class act and once you get to the room and look at the view, you will also feel you made a wise choice to stay here. X-Y-Z-Overall impression is this a great choice for couples and families with older children. I did not get the feeling they went out of their way to really focus on kids activities for younger children.

Ambiance-Still as nice as when I stayed there 10 years ago when it was fairly brand new. Located near the Melia makes it convenient for downtown. Studio suites with 1, 2 and 3 bedroom suites. Even with kids club, I think this is more for couples and older kids. 
Food- 2 restaurants offering Mexican, Italian and seafood. 
Opportunities-If you are into golf, you are walking distance to the golf course and the marina is great to walk around. 
Weather-Best weather starts in November through March. The best combo of weather without crowds is November and December before the Christmas rush.
