Beach-They share the beach with their sister more upscale resort, Riu Palace. The beach is wide and long. Most beaches along the corridor have too much of an undertow to swim but I saw more people than not swimming. The undertow is not quite as bad since they are closer to town. I still say you must be real careful. Charges (extra) - Spa treatments and internet access would be extra. Distances- Less than 3 miles from Cabo San Lucas. Entertainment on Property -Varied entertainment and activities during the day and evening.
Food- 5 restaurants of which 4 are specialty restaurants serving Italian, Mexican, Asian and a steakhouse. The main buffet had a lot of selection. Getting Around- Short cab ride to Cabo San Lucas. Internet Access -They have PCs in the Sports Bar and you have wi-fi access in the Sports Bar too. There is no internet access from your room. Jackets and Ties- Keep them at home, but for the men bring slacks and polo shirt for dinner in the specialty restaurants.
Little Known Fact-Riu's are family owned and the owners still are involved with the operation and quality of the services. Medical Services-On call medical services. Negatives- The same as with most resorts in Los Cabos, the undertow of the ocean making swimming in the ocean iffy. I would not call it a negative but the double beds in most Riu resorts are positioned very close together and that might make some people uncomfortable almost feeling like everyone is sleeping in the same bed. I guess this could be seen as a positive depending on your outlook!
Opportunities-They have some of the most competitive pricing for any all-inclusive in Los Cabos. Pool-I love infinity pools and the one here has the best view. I am a pool, not a beach person and I can see myself spending some quality pool time here. They also have a more lively pool in the middle of the complex. Protection-In room safe. Recreation-Where do I begin, horseback riding, volleyball, kayaks, jet skis, parasailing and the list goes on.
Shopping-Small gift shop on property. Plenty of shopping downtown. Terrain-This is a large resort but you do no feel like you have to walk a mile to get to the beach. Updates-Opened in 2007.
Weather-Warm and dry all year. They do get more rain in September and October. This is a great choice if you normally vacation in July or August to avoid the Monsoons and hurricanes. Cabo was hit by a hurricane a few years ago but it does not sit in the traditional hurricane path. WOW Factor-Value and location. You are not going to find another all-inclusive offering what they do for the price and being so convenient to get into town. X-Y-Z- If you do not want to spend an arm and a leg for an all-inclusive vacation, this is a good choice. More Pictures Click Here

Ambiance- I have been wanting to see this resort since it opened. I have to admit my expectations were exceeded considering the kinks they had when they opened. It looks completely different than any other Riu I have been to and I have seen many. The best way to describe the decor and design is Arizona Adobe meets ocean. They did a very nice job.
Fitness Area - Nice fitness center so if you need to keep up with your workouts you will be pleased with the facility.
Kids-They have a mini club for kids ages 4 to 12 and also provide babysitting. Because the pricing is so competitive they tend to attract a more younger crowd, especially since they are so close to the nightlife in Cabo San Lucas.
Nightlife- Live shows in their large theatre and also have the Pacha disco. You are also a short cab ride away from all the nightlife in Cabo San Lucas.
Rooms- The reason why this prices so well is most of the buildings are not oceanview. There is one building that does have ocean views so if you can treat yourself, there is nothing better than walking out on your balcony seeing and hearing the ocean. I felt the beds were not as hard as other Riu's. Also typical of Riu properties, the mini bar consist of a hard liquor dispenser with all the mixers. Keep this is mind when traveling with your kids.
