Beach-The beach is large, great for a stroll and taking in the view. Swimming in the ocean is hit or miss depending on the undertow. Charges (extra) - Spa treatments would be extra. Distances- Less than 3 miles from Cabo San Lucas. Entertainment on Property -Varied entertainment and activities during the day and evening.
Food- 7 restaurants of which 2 are A la Carte for dinner, one being Japanese and the other a steakhouse. On my visit I ate dinner in the buffet restaurant and I thought the food was great. I am not a fan of buffets but this one stood out. Reservations are required for the A la Carte restaurants. Getting Around- Short cab ride to Cabo San Lucas. Internet Access -There is free wi-fi access from the lobby and the Internet Cafe is located in the Sports Bar. There would be a charge for use of their machines. Jackets and Ties- Keep them at home, but bring slacks and polo shirt for dinner in the A la Carte restaurants.
Little Known Fact-Riu's are family owned and the owners still are involved with the operation and quality of the services. Medical Services-On call medical services. Negatives- The same as with most resorts in Los Cabos, non swim able beach at times. I would not call it a negative but the double beds in most Riu resorts are positioned very close together and that might make some people uncomfortable almost feeling like everyone is sleeping in the same bed. I guess this could be seen as a positive depending on your outlook!
Opportunities-If you get the opportunity, you have to stay here! Pool-I love infinity pools and the one here has the best view. I am a pool, not a beach person and I can see myself spending some quality pool time here. Protection-In room safe. Recreation-Where do I begin, horseback riding, volleyball, kayaks, jet skis, parasailing and the list goes on.
Shopping-Small gift shop on property. Plenty of shopping downtown. Terrain-It is tiered from the lobby to the pool. Updates-Opened in December 2004.
Weather-Warm and dry all year. They do get more rain in September and October. This is a great choice if you normally vacation in July or August to avoid the Monsoons and hurricanes. Cabo was hit by a hurricane a few years ago but it does not sit in the traditional hurricane path. WOW Factor-How many times have I mentioned the view? Too many properties say they a 5 star, this one lives up to the rating. X-Y-Z-The best review of a property boils down to one question, would I go back? In a heartbeat! More Pictures Click Here

Ambiance-The word that fits best when you walk into the lobby is stunning. The public areas are beautiful and open up to a view to die for! I could sit all day staring out at the ocean and the famed Arches. This is my kind of resort, upscale and classy, but not pretentious.
Fitness Area - State of the art fitness center with a great view.
Kids-They accommodate kids of all ages, they even have two children's swimming pools and a children's playground. Older kids will love all the activities and sports.
Nightlife- Live shows and offer entrance to the Pacha disco. You are also a short cab ride away from all the nightlife in Cabo San Lucas.
Rooms-Typical Riu style. Cozy with a Mexican flair. Also typical of Riu properties, the mini bar consist of a hard liquor dispenser with all the mixers. Keep this is mind when traveling with your kids.
They do have "common hall" rooms that can be used for families traveling together. There is a common hall that is lockable leading to two independant rooms.
