Ambiance-The word that fits best when you arrive at this property is comfortable. You won't be dazzled as you walk into the lobby but in a sense feel cozy and relaxed. The property is spread out and has a very open feel to it. This is one of those properties that offer great value.
Charges (extra) - Horseback riding and scuba would be extra. Distances- Walking distance (15 minutes) to San Jose del Cabo, trust me I walked it. About a 30 minute cab ride into Cabo San Lucas. The longer I stayed there the more I liked being close to San Jose del Cabo and not feeling stuck in the middle along the corridor where you really cannot take a walk. Entertainment on Property -Varied entertainment and activities during the day and evening. They have two theme parties each week.
Food- 5 restaurants of which include a steakhouse, California cuisine and of course, Mexican. I enjoyed the dinner at Napa, the restaurant that served California cuisine. Getting Around- You can walk into San Jose del Cabo or take a cab into Cabo San Lucas. The bus is the best bargain for $2 you can get into Cabo San Lucas rather than the $25+ each way for a cab. Internet Access -There now is wi-fi in the rooms with a charge and also two PCs in the business center.
Kids- Chiqui Club - Kids aged 5 to 12 can meet at the Activities palapa near the main pool, where the Activities staff has an entire day filled with fun and excitement. There is one pool that seemed to be where all the families were and the other one was more adults only. I migrated to the quiet pool and proclaimed a swim up pool bar stool as mine. Little Known Fact-The resort has a Estuary, a wild bird sanctuary right at the resort. Medical Services-On call medical services. Negatives- Not being able to swim in the ocean is a negative for some. My view is give me a nice beach to take a walk on and get my feet wet, and I will do my swimming in a nice pool. There is no swim up pool bar in the ocean so why go in?
Opportunities-You have to take one of the ATV tours from the company that is 2 minutes away. I did not have time but it looked like fun. Pool-Three large pools, where one is for all the activities, one is for adults and the smaller one is for the families and small kids. Bring the sun screen! Protection-This was a negative to me since they did not have in room safes. I had to open a safety deposit box which meant one more key to potentially lose. Recreation-They have nice tennis courts and plenty of golf courses nearby.
Shopping-Small gift shop on property. Quaint shopping in San Jose del Cabo and tons of shopping in Cabo San Lucas. Terrain-Very flat and spread out. Updates-A new mega resort is being built next door but you would never know it once you are in the resort. View-The ocean and the waves are great to sit, watch and listen.
WOW Factor-This is what I would call a great value. Nothing too fancy but I think couples and families would enjoy their stay there. X-Y-Z-If you want a kick back, relaxing property, this fits the bill. More Pictures CLICK HERE |
