The following is feedback from a recent hotel inspection about this family friendly resort.

Ambiance-The words that fits best when you arrive at this property is tropical paradise. This is the newer section of the mega 4 resort complex, Grand Palladium Kantenah, Colonial, White Sand and Riviera. After staying here in 2010, I was thoroughly impressed with the quality and service.

Beach-One of the best beaches in the Riviera Maya. All 4 resorts share the same beach.

Charges (extra) - Spa services and some of the non motorized water sports.

Distances-In the heart of the Riviera Maya. You would pretty much want to stay on property unless taking a day trip.

Entertainment on Property -Varied entertainment and activities during the day and evening. Activities for the kids and teenagers.

Fitness Area - A state of the art fitness center and spa!

Food- 14 restaurants, yes count them 14 of which include Mediterranean, Oriental, a Steak house, Brazilian, seafood and Mexican just to name a few. What is great is you do not need reservations and you can eat at any of the restaurants expect the Jardin which is a private restaurant for the Royal Suites section.

Getting Around- Taxi, renting a car for the day or taking day tours from the resort.

Internet Access -Free wi-fi from the public areas and lobby. Free wi-fi in the rooms at the Royal Suites.

Jackets and Ties- Keep them at home, but bring slacks and polo shirt for dinner in the A la Carte restaurants.

Kids- Kids will love the Palladium Grand kids club. Mini Club El Ranchito is open from 9:00 to 5:00 daily for kids ages 4-12. Kids will enjoy age appropriate fun and games as well as many eco-related activities. Teens and grown up kids will enjoy the extensive sports zone with tennis courts, mini-golf,non motorized water sports and snorkeling.

Little Known fact-The resort is marketed as 4 different resorts but really is one large resort with 4 sections.

Medical Services-On call medical services.

Negatives-About the only negative which really is not a negative is the size of the resort. It is a very large property. But the larger resorts have more amenities.

Nightlife- Live nightly entertainment in lobby with easy listening music, theater with live shows and audience participation, disco

Opportunities-The Royal Suites is the adults only section and if you can splurge a bit they have their own private pool and restaurant. I loved it!

Pool-There are 5 pools and I am a pool person so I enjoyed it. One of the pools is a salt water pool right off the ocean.

Protection-In room safes.

Recreation-Between the tennis courts, water sports, jogging trail, fitness area and pools, families will have plenty to keep them occupied.

Rooms-All the rooms here are either Junior Suites or 1 bedroom suites. If you need two connecting rooms, they are in the White Sand and Riviera sections and need to book a Suite connected to a Junior Suite. There is the new Royal section with Suites and Junior Suites that is adults only.

Shopping-Small gift shop on property. Most of your shopping will be in Playa del Carmen or Cancun.

Spa-State of the art Spa, probably one of the newest and best facilities in the Riviera Maya.

Terrain-Very flat and spread out.

Updates-New adults only Royal section.

View- None of the rooms technically can be booked as an ocean view but if you book with us, I will request the buildings that do have a view.

Weather-January through March are the driest months. July through November are the wettest months.

WOW Factor-The number of dining choices that do not require reservations. Not to mention this is a stunning resort!.

X-Y-Z-This is a fantastic resort for families and couples!
