Ambiance - For ecology and nature lovers, you can't get any better than this. Pronounced Es-scoo PAH or Es-shoe PAH. I still can't pronounce it but that is OK . This resort is built right in the eco-park so you are literally walking through the park to get to your bungalow.
Charges (extra) - Spa treatments, golf, hairdresser and motorized water sports would be extra. Distances - In the Riviera Maya south of Cancun. Close to Tulum and Xel-Ha making it a great resort for taking in the Mayan culture. Entertainment on Property - Varied entertainment and activities during the day and shows at the theater and theme parties in the evening. Fitness Area - A very nice facility with treadmills, free weights and sauna. Food - The are 3 restaurants, 2 are ala-carte of which are Oriental and Italian. A word of warning for the guys. Bring at least one pair of long trousers and nice shirt to wear at dinner if you want to get into the ala-carte restaurants. I guess the women can wear whatever they want. Not complaining mind you. Getting Around - Can you say TAXI?
Jackets and Ties - Keep them at home, but bring slacks and polo shirt for dinner in the A la Carte restaurants. Kids - Kids club (ages 4-12 years) for smaller guests with a variety of activities and children´s pool. Kids will love the the fact they are in an eco-park. Lighting -The resort is well laid out and well lit at night. Medical Services -On call medical services. Negatives - You really have to be into eco-tourism to enjoy this property. If you want a large high rise, this is not for you. Nightlife - Theme parties and shows at the theatre. Opportunities -You have special privileges and priority tee times to the golf course at Moon Palace plus you have access to the other Palace Resorts and their restaurants.
Pool - No infinity pool but pretty darn close since it looks out over the ocean. I like the fact I can sit by the pool, look out into the ocean and not get sand up my shorts makes me happy. Too many years living in Ft. Lauderdale I guess. Protection - In room safe at no additional charge . Recreation - you name it as far as water sports; snorkeling, kayaking, swimming and more! Rooms -All the rooms are in two-story thatched roof bungalows. Very unique compared to any other resort in the Riviera Maya. Shopping - Small gift shop on property. Plenty of shopping in Playa del Carmen and Cancun. Terrain - Since this is spread out through the eco-park there are electric carts continually circle through out complex . Tipping-Not required but as with any service industry, if your bartender, room service attendant or concierge really shines, they will appreciate the small gratuity since most people will not be tipping anyway.
View-Depending on where your bungalow is you have a great view of the ocean. Weather-December through May are the driest months. October through November are the wettest months WOW Factor-ECO-TOURISM. If you really want to get close to nature, this is the place. X-Y-Z-You will be hard pressed to find another property like this in the Riviera Maya or Cancun. |
