Beach-Large for Cozumel standards, about 2000 feet long. I thought the beach was in great shape and considering they were hammered with hurricanes Emily and Wilma in 2005. Charges (extra) - Spa treatments would be extra. Distances- In the southern end of the island closer to the Occidental and Iberostar. Entertainment on Property -Varied entertainment and activities during the day and evening. They have totally rebuilt their theatre and it is much nicer than before. Fitness Area - Totally new Spa that will be complete in June 2006 and they are bringing in brand new equipment for the fitness center.
Getting Around- Taxi is the key unless you want to rent a car or take your life into your hands and rent a scooter. Internet Access -There is a charge if you use their PCs but they expect to have free wireless internet access from the lobby in July. Jackets and Ties- Keep them at home, but bring slacks and polo shirt for dinner in the A la Carte restaurants. Kids-I have to say they are one of the only resorts that can boast a beachfront kids club. They did a great job and kids will love it. They are also one of the few resorts with a teen club with a video arcade. The Kids Club is for ages 4-11. They also offer babysitting and the cost is $10.00 per hour per child. They prefer having 24 hour advance notice if you want a babysitter. Lighting-Well lit at night. Medical Services-On call medical services.
Nightlife- Nightly entertainment at the resort and some nightlife in San Miguel but this is much more relaxed and subdued than Cancun. Opportunities-Other than the thatched roof buildings that they are known for, this is for all intensive purposes a brand new resort. Pool-Two pools, with one being an adults only pool with a swim up bar. Protection-In room safe. Recreation-Water sports, snorkeling and diving is what Cozumel is known for so you will have plenty to keep you busy here. Rooms-Pretty typical in size for most resorts in Mexico. Comfortable but not luxurious. Shopping-They have built their own shopping center right on the property.
Updates-This is not the old Reef Club by any means. Once all the improvements are complete this will compete very well with the other higher end resorts. View-Right on the ocean, fantastic views. Weather-Mid December through May has the best weather. September and October gets more rain. WOW Factor-The new look and feel of the resort. It reminds me of the transformation Ft. Lauderdale went through years ago getting rid of the Spring Breakers and attracting a higher end crowd. X-Y-Z-I see a good future for this resort as the transformation continues. | Located on the south side of Cozumel Island, this hotel is surrounded by natural forest on one side and beach on the other. The resort is 20 minutes away from the airport.

Ambiance-Formally the Reef Club went through a major transformation and Wyndham liked what they saw so took it over. They used to be known for having Spring Breakers but now want to focus on families and couples. I was impressed with the progress they have made and feel I can suggest them as a good solid resort. 
Food- 3 restaurants of which 1 is A la Carte for dinner, with a Mediterranean cuisine. They converted one restaurant into a lounge bar with a state of the art sound system. 
Negatives- They are expanding their time share sections of the complex so I will need to keep tabs if clients are getting hounded by time share sharks.
Terrain-Very easy to navigate.
