Beach - One of the larger and nicer beaches along the Riviera Maya. I think guests will be very pleased with the beach. Charges (extra) - Spa treatments, Motorized water sports and long distance calling would be extra. Distances- Excellent location only 25 minutes south of Cancun. You are also about 20 minutes north of Playa del Carmen so it makes it convenient to get to both places.
Fitness Area - A very nice fitness area that will keep all you fitness buffs, well buff. I like my water exercises at the pool bar. Food- Another thing they got right, no reservations needed and no limit at any of the specialty restaurants. They have 9 restaurants, 6 are specialty restaurants serving Japanese, Italian, Mexican and French cuisine along with a Seafood / Lobster House and Steakhouse. Another thing they got right is they have a very good wine selection. Getting Around- Taxi is the best bet for I do not suggest you renting a car unless you really know what you are doing driving in Mexico.
Jackets and Ties- Keep them at home, but bring slacks and polo shirt for dinner in the Specialty restaurants. Kids-Sorry kids, this is Adults Only. Little Known Fact- This is one of the few all-inclusive resorts in the Riviera Maya that can boast true Ocean Front rooms. Medical Services-On call medical services.
Nightlife- They have entertainment at the resort in the evening and you are not that far from Cancun or Playa del Carmen if you want to go there for their nightlife. Opportunities- They have an excellent wedding program and a church on property. Pool -I am a pool person and I lost count after 4 pools. They have 6 pools all together so I can almost have a new pool to sit by each day of the week if I wanted to. I tend to migrate towards the pool bar pool though. Hmm, I wonder why?
Recreation- They have all kinds on non motorized water sports along with access to motorized water sports. They also have two tennis courts, bike rentals and plenty of activities around the pool during the day. Rooms- Every room here is a Junior Suite and the differences will be location and some of the categories will be a tad larger. For example the Deluxe Junior Suite has just over 500 square feet while the Junior Suite Oceanfront has over 600 square feet. They even have 1-bedroom Diamond suites over 1000 square feet. Since the resort is brand new, the rooms are crisp and clean. There are more descriptions below in the "Just the Facts" section.
Spa- I am not an expert but this spa looked pretty impressive. They are one of the few all-inclusive resorts that have a steam room. I tend to sweat enough outside but for some, they need that daily steam! Terrain -This is a large Hacienda style Adults Only resort that did a great job integrating with the local landscape. Updates -Brand new in 2008. View - One of the few resorts in the Riviera Maya that can boast true Oceanfront rooms with fantastic views. Weather-Mid December through May has the best weather. September and October gets more rain.
X-Y-Z- I think the Valentin Imperial Maya is going to give other Adults Only all-inclusive's a run for their money. They have a combination that is hard to beat. More Pictures Click Here

Ambiance - Before they opened in 2008, they said they wanted to change everything people did not like about an all-inclusive resort. I think they just might of done it! For example, people do not like the wrist bands they have to wear at most all-inclusive's. Well guess what, no wrist bands! 
Entertainment on Property -They have activities all during the day, and entertainment in their theatre in the evening.
Internet Access -Another thing they got right and this is very important to me. Free Wi-Fi access from the rooms! Now it is ok for me to work while I am there but you keep those laptops home, you are on vacation!
Negatives-For those parents that would love to experience the resort, they need to leave the kids home. Isn't that what grandparents are for?
Protection-In room safe at no extra charge. 
Shopping-They have a small shop at the resort for incidentals and small gifts plus you have plenty of shopping in Cancun or Playa del Carmen.
WOW Factor-Adults Only, no wristbands, no reservations or limits at the restaurants and free wireless internet from the rooms. I think some of the other all-inclusive's might be changing their policies!
