Beach-The resort is built around a small cove so you will not have the long stretch of beach like other resorts but this one is very well protected so the water is calmer for swimming. In the middle of the lagoon there is a small mayan ruin. They are also one of the few resorts that has Cenotes right on the property. Charges (extra) - Spa treatments, long distance and business services. The French Gourmet restaurant also has a surcharge for dinner. Distances- In the Riviera Maya about 20 minutes from Playa del Carmen.
Fitness Area - A brand new fitness center with state of the art equipment. Very nice facility. Food- The have 8 restaurants here serving Italian, Japanese, Mediterranean, French and Spanish cuisine plus a Brazilian Grill and Steakhouse. I had the opportunity to eat here and was very impressed with the quality of the food. Getting Around- Taxi would be the most convenient to get around. I do not suggest renting a car unless you really know your way around driving in Mexico. Internet Access -They have high speed internet access from the rooms.
Kids-They have their Sirenis Family Kids Club for ages 4-12. They break up the kids into two age groups from 4-8 and 9-12 with age appropriate activities. They also have babysitting services on request and at an extra charge. Little Known Fact- Sirenis is smaller Spanish owned company so they tend to go above and beyond in service since they do not have the marketing budget to get the word out like some of the well known brands. Their price points are very aggressive to get people to experience the resort. Medical Services-On call medical services. Negatives- I don't like that they charge for some of the non motorized water sports but I think they contract out to another company to provide those services. Snorkeling and the Wind Surfs are included.
Opportunities-Take advantage of the aggressive prices, for being a brand new resort you are getting very good value for the dollar. Pool-Three pools where there is the main pool and two other pools for each section. If I remember the main pool had a double sided pool bar. They also have a lazy river pool which is where you would find me floating along with a drink in hand. Protection-In room safe. Recreation-Plenty of activities including snorkeling, wind surfing, bicycles, dancing lessons, billiards, water aerobics and the list goes on and on.
Shopping-Small shops at the resort and plenty of shopping in Playa del Carmen. Spa-They have spa facilities with your typical massages, manicures, facials etc. Terrain-Spread out low rise facility that is intertwined with the mangroves. If you like to feel like you are staying more in the local ecology, they have done a good job. Updates-This is a brand new resort. View-Right on the ocean, with pool and Mangrove views.
WOW Factor-The modern look and feel to the resort and the rooms. X-Y-Z-I was very impressed with what they have done with this resort. I tend to like newer places so this one caught my eye. You can't be their pricing. Click here for more pictures of the resort. |

Ambiance-This is brand new resort that opened in 2006. When you first walk in it has this very modern look and feel to it. They did a good job of keeping the natural surroundings with the mangroves rather than the manicured look you find at other resorts.
Entertainment on Property -They have many different activities during the day and theme shows in the evening. 
Jackets and Ties- Keep them at home, but bring slacks and polo shirt for dinner in the A la Carte restaurants.
Nightlife- They have shows in the evening and you are not too far away from Playa del Carmen with the bars and nightlife there. 
Rooms-I think these are some of the nicest rooms you will find in the Riviera Maya. They are all Junior Suites, much larger than most and have great showers and bathtubs. 
Weather-Mid December through May has the best weather. September and October gets more rain.
