Beach- I have to say they have one of the larger stretches of beach in the Riviera Maya. I guess for this size of resort, you need a lot of beach. Charges (extra) - Spa treatments, long distance and business services like internet access would be extra. Distances- The resort is about 10-15 minutes north of Playa del Carmen making it easy to get into town if you wish.
Fitness Area - A decent fitness area, nothing fancy but enough equipment to keep you in pain. I say you are on vacation, so relax and workout extra hard when you get home. Food- They have 6 restaurants, 3 are specialty restaurants serving Oriental, Mediterranean, and a steakhouse. You are allowed to dine at one specialty restaurant for each 3 night stay. Getting Around- Taxi is the best bet for I do not suggest you renting a car unless you really know what you are doing driving in Mexico.
Jackets and Ties- Keep them at home, but bring slacks and polo shirt for dinner in the Specialty restaurants. Kids-This is where they stand out from the other resorts. They have different clubs based on their ages. Where most resorts have a kids club from age 4-12 they have a Baby Club for ages 2-3 years old, a Mini Club for ages 4-7 years old, a Kids Club for ages 8-12 years old, and a Teens Club for ages13-17 years old, Little Known Fact- They are one of the few all-inclusive resorts in the Riviera Maya that have a kids program for children as young as 2 years old.
Negatives-I am not thrilled about the restrictions at the specialty restaurants but with that many rooms they have to make sure everyone has an opportunity to dine at at least one of them. Nightlife- They have entertainment at the resort in the evening and you are not that far from Playa del Carmen if you want to go there for their nightlife. Opportunities- Take advantage of their competitive prices. Pool-They have 3 pools and a children's pool so this should keep us pool people happy. Since I visited they opened up a brand new Aqua Waterpark with 17, yes count them, 17 water slides for the children.
Recreation- They have a full compliment of things to do including guided walks, darts, table tennis, dance classes, billiards, football, basketball, aerobics, beach activities. Pool games and water aerobics. Water polo. Beach volleyball and water volleyball. Rooms- The standard rooms are small and have no balcony, that is why this resort prices so well. It is the type of place where if someone says we are not in our room much just as long as it is clean. The newer Club Select rooms are larger with balconies. No room service. Shopping-They have a small shop at the resort for incidentals and small gifts plus you have plenty of shopping in Playa del Carmen.
Terrain- This is a large resort and pretty spread out so do not forget your sun tan lotion in the room when going to the beach! Updates-Went through expansion in 2007 and they just opened their brand new Aqua Waterpark. View - If I am not mistaken only some of the standard rooms have ocean views, not the Club Select rooms. Weather-Mid December through May has the best weather. September and October gets more rain.
X-Y-Z- This is great option as far as value for the money. If you do not want to spend an arm and a leg and do not need anything real fancy, you will have a nice time here. More Pictures Click Here

Ambiance- I have been wanting to see this resort for a while since it prices so competitively. It is a very large resort with over 1000 rooms. I would say my first impressions were it was very comfortable. Nothing fancy but exceeded my expectations based on how it prices. They did go through some major renovations and expansion. 
Entertainment on Property -They have entertainment during the day at the pool and also have shows in the evening and a disco.
Internet Access -No internet from the rooms, only from the internet cafe. It costs about $5.00 for 30 minutes so type fast! People staying in the Club Select rooms are not charged for internet access. 
Medical Services-On call medical services. 
Protection-In room safe at no extra charge. 
Spa- I thought the spa facilities were better than what I was expecting.
WOW Factor- The kids club for younger children and the size of the beach. Also the brand new Aqua Waterpark.
