Beach - A long stretch of beach and a mini version of the Malecon in town. Charges (extra) - Spa treatments, golf, hairdresser and motorized water sports would be extra. Distances - In Nuevo Vallarta about 25 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta. Some people want to be closer to town but If you do not see yourself going into town each day, the location is just fine. Entertainment on Property - Varied entertainment and activities during the day and shows at the theater and theme parties in the evening.
Food - The are now 7 restaurants, 3 that offer buffet style during the day and a-la-carte dinners along with 4 additional specialty restaurants serving Mexican, Asian and Mediterranean cuisine and a steakhouse. Dinner can be reserved two days in advance and as long as you plan your dinners and make sure someone shows up on time to make reservations you should not have any problems eating at all the restaurants. Bring at least one pair of long trousers and nice shirt to wear at dinner if you want to get into the ala-carte restaurants. I guess the women can wear whatever they want. Not complaining mind you. Getting Around - Can you say Taxi? I have rented cars before but you cannot be a timid driver and expect to pay more for the insurance and taxes than the daily rate for the car. Do not assume your insurance company will cover you like in the states so take the full coverage insurance or buy independent insurance that will cover you. Internet Access -There is an hourly charge for internet access in the business center. If you expect to spend much time on the internet their facility is very minimal. They will be expanding. No internet from the rooms. Jackets and Ties - Keep them at home, but bring slacks and polo shirt for dinner in the A la Carte restaurants.
Lighting -The resort is well laid out and well lit at night. Medical Services -24 hour on call medical services. Negatives - You have to remember, this is a 3 star property so the rooms will be small but clean and comfortable. Nightlife - Theme parties and shows at the outdoor theatre. They have their own disco and plenty of nightlife in town. Pool - I think I counted 7 pools across the whole complex so you will not have any problem finding a pool chair.
Recreation - They have organized tennis tournaments, a soccer field, basketball court, water activities, scuba lessons in the pool so I think you can be as busy as you want. Rooms -As mentioned before you cannot expect fancy rooms here, there is a reason why they can offer the great prices. So for all of you who say the room is not that important, we are hardly ever in the room, you will be happy campers. Shopping - Small gift shop on property. Plenty of shopping in Puerto Vallarta and Paradise Village. Terrain - This is a large spread out property, I mean really spread out. If you want small and quaint this would not be the best choice. Tipping-Not required but as with any service industry, if your bartender or room service attendant really shine, they will appreciate the small gratuity since most people will not be tipping anyway.
View-They have a few sections with ocean views but normally leave those for upgrades and cannot reserve. Weather-Avoid August and September, monsoon season. But I have had families stay in this region during these months and they had great weather. December through April is great weather. WOW Factor-What you get for the money, this is one of those diamonds in the rough. X-Y-Z - What they lack in the facilities and rooms, they make up for it with their service. Ambiance -I had been wanting to see this resort for a long time since it prices so well. I had low expectations when I arrived and I can honestly say, they were all exceeded. Is this a 4-5 star property? NO. Is this one of the best values you will find in Puerto Vallarta? You bet it is! 
Fitness Area - A decent gym, nothing to rave about but hey, you are on vacation. 
Kids -They are family friendly and offer a kids program, they even have special areas of the pool for kids and adults only. 
Protection - In room safe
and I believe they charge $2.00 per day. I never could understand why some resorts charge for this. 
Updates-New check in area and 2 new restaurants.
