Beach-One of the best beaches in Cozumel in my opinion. Charges (extra) - Spa treatments and internet access. Distances-On the southern end of the island about a 15-20 taxi ride into San Miguel. Entertainment on Property -Varied entertainment and activities during the day and evening. Fitness Area - A very nice fitness area.
Getting Around-Unless you rent a car or take your life into your own hands renting a scooter, I would stick with taxis. Internet Access -There is an hourly charge for internet access. Wireless access from the lobby. Jackets and Ties- Keep them at home, but bring slacks and polo shirt for dinner in the A la Carte restaurants. Why is that the guys have a dress code and the women do not? Not an opinion, just musing. Kids- Kids are welcome and they do have a kids and teen program. My sense is the resort caters more to couples and older kids rather than young ones. Lighting-The resort is well laid out and well lit at night. Medical Services-On call medical services. Negatives- I can't say anything negative about the property other than it might be too large for those that want a smaller more intimate resort.
Opportunities-The Royal Club is an added level of service that allows you to stay in special rooms, your own concierge and a specialty restaurant for Royal Club members only. Great for honeymooners and guests celebrating special events. Pool-One of the larger pools in Cozumel overlooking the beach and ocean. Protection-In room safe. Recreation-Water sports is king in Cozumel with snorkeling and diving. I tend to enjoy pool lounging and watching sunsets. Rooms-The rooms are nice size and the Royal Club has their own special building. Shopping-Small gift shop on property. Plenty of shopping in San Miguel. Terrain-This is a large resort with the buildings somewhat spread out. Tipping-Not required but as with any service industry if you take care of the staff that are going out of their way, you will be remembered since most people are not tipping.
View-Some of the rooms will have an ocean view but most will be of the resort grounds which are very pretty. Weather-December through May are the driest months. September through November are the wettest months. WOW Factor-The whole Spanish look and feel to the property. Also the Royal Club. X-Y-Z-I would put this in the top 3 resorts as far as ambiance, character and service. I can't imagine anyone not enjoying their stay here. More Pictures Click Here |

Ambiance - When you first walk into the resort you almost feel like you are staying at a Spanish hacienda. The courtyard and surroundings are beautiful. 
Food-The are 7 restaurants, 4 are ala-carte of which are Mexican, international, a steakhouse and a specialty restaurant for Royal Club guests only.
Nightlife- Evening entertainment at the resort and its own disco with some nightlife in San Miguel. Keep in mind, Cozumel is very laid back compared to Cancun or Playa del Carmen.
