Ambiance - The word that best describes this resort is VALUE. When I visited the resort, I felt it was underrated. It is one of the few resorts on what is considered Hotel Row to have a tropical lush feel to it. The grounds and pool area overlooking the beach is its claim to fame. Beach-You have plenty of sand to run your toes through on this 1/2 mile stretch of beach. Charges (extra) - Spa treatments and motorized water sports would be extra. Distances- A perfect location right on Cancun Island. Perfect for shopping, nightlife and day trips to visit the Mayan ruins. Entertainment on Property -Varied entertainment and they have two theme parties each week. There is also a disco there. Fitness Area - A pretty nice fitness area with nautilus machines. Keep your work out clothes at home, you are on VACATION!
Getting Around- Taxi and the local bus is very convenient. Internet Access -There is an hourly charge for internet access. Jackets and Ties- Keep them at home, but bring slacks and polo shirt for dinner in the A la Carte restaurants. Kids-They do have a supervised Kids Club for kids 4-12. Lighting-The resort is well laid out and well lit at night. Medical Services-On call medical services. Negatives- Not luxury by any means and the rooms are pretty standard. But this is perfect for people who say, I do not want to spend a ton of money and want good value for my dollar. Nightlife- Not only do they have their own disco you are in the heart of having access to all the nightlife that Cancun is known for. Opportunities-You have the opportunity to take advantage of day trips to visit many of the Mayan ruins and archaeological sites. Pool-The pool here is one of the features the way it wraps around the lush gardens. I am a pool person and this pool cuts the mustard! Protection-In room safe. Recreation-There is plenty to do here for adults and kids. Tennis, par 3 golf course, kayaks, pedal boats and the list goes on. Rooms-Standard rooms, nothing to rave about but for the money, you should not be disappointed. Shopping-You have access to some of the best shopping Cancun has to offer. Terrain-One of the few resorts on hotel row that has that tropical lush feel. Tipping-Since this is an all-inclusive resort, tipping is not required but as with any service industry, if your waiter, room maid or bartender really shines, they will appreciate the small gratuity since most people will not be tipping anyway. Updates-No new updates. View-You have the choice of Ocean View, Lagoon View or Garden View. In this case they way the property is laid out, Garden View really feels like a tropical garden. Weather-December through May are the driest months. September through November are the wettest months WOW Factor-The gardens of the property and the intertwining pool. Oh, the beach is pretty darn good too! X-Y-Z-Value, value, value. You get a lot for your money here. |

Food-The are 5 restaurants and 7 bars, 2 are ala-carte of which are Seafood and Mexican. A word of warning for the guys. Bring at least one pair of long trousers to wear at dinner if you want to get into the ala-carte restaurants. I guess the women can wear whatever they want. Not complaining mind you.
