Beach-An excellent beach protected by a reef making the ocean water very swim-able. I have to say this is one of the better stretches of beaches in the Riviera Maya. Charges (extra) - Spa treatments, long distance and business services like internet access would be extra. Distances- The resort is in Puerto Morelos just south of Cancun making it a fairly short drive from the airport compared to many of the other resorts in the Riviera Maya.
Fitness Area - A very nice fitness area with all the machines to torture yourself with while on vacation. I prefer the 16 ounce curls while I am on vacation. Food- They have 6 restaurants, 5 are specialty restaurants serving seafood, Asian, Mediterranean, Mexican and French cuisine. The French restaurant is adults only. Reservations are made upon arrival. Getting Around- Taxi is the best bet for I do not suggest you renting a car unless you really know what you are doing driving in Mexico.
Jackets and Ties- Keep them at home, but bring slacks and polo shirt for dinner in the Specialty restaurants. Kids-This is where they stand out from the other resorts. The Explorers Club is the kids club for ages 3-12. Many of the other resorts do not allow under the age of 4. Little Known Fact- The French restaurant is one of the few 5 Diamond restaurants in the region. Medical Services-On call medical services.
Nightlife- They have entertainment at the resort in the evening and you are not that far from Cancun if you want to go there for their nightlife. Opportunities- It would be a treat to stay in the Preferred Club section. Pool-They have 4 pools with one being the size of a small lake. They also have an activities pool, a children's pool and a wading pool. I like big fancy pools so I am in pool heaven here.
Recreation- They have all kinds on non motorized water sports with kayaks, windsurf, water bikes, sunfish sailing, snorkeling and diving. They also have two tennis courts and plenty of activities around the pool during the day. Rooms- All of the rooms are Junior suites with over 500 square feet. They also are one of the few resorts in the Riviera Maya that have true Ocean Front rooms where the beach is right outside your building. They also has what they call the Preferred Club and I have included the extra amenities under the room descriptions below. I think anyone would be pleased with the rooms at this resort.
Spa- I am not an expert but this spa looked pretty impressive. Terrain-Not a small resort with just under 500 rooms but the way it is designed, you do not feel like you are walking forever to get from one place to another. Updates-NOW took over this resort in 2010. View - One of the few resorts in the Riviera Maya that can boast true Oceanfront rooms with fantastic views.
WOW Factor-The Oceanfront rooms, Preferred Club and the kids club for little ones as young as 2 months to 12 years old. X-Y-Z- This is one of those resorts that dazzle you from the minute you walk in. The service is also top notch making this a great choice if you want to be pampered. More Pictures Click Here

The Explorer's Club for kids offers fully-supervised children's program with
arts & crafts, games, weekly camp out adventure, big screen & movies on the beach, Daily activities open from 9:00am to 10:00pm. Teens Club-Video games, X-Box, Pool table, etc
Babysitting has a cost of $10 USD per hour plus a $10 additional charge for taxicab if the babysitter needs to come to the hotel or stay after 8:00pm. Prices subject to change. |

Ambiance-Wow, that was my first thought when I arrived. You walk into this open aired lobby under a thatch roof and feel right away this is a great choice. They modeled this after a Mayan village on a protected mangrove preserve. This was formally the Paradisus Riviera Cancun and the NOW brand took it over in 2010. 
Entertainment on Property -They have activities all during the day, and entertainment in their theatre in the evening.
Internet Access -When it was the Paradisus Riviera Cancun they had wi-fi access from the public areas and rooms in buildings 1-5. They are working at getting wi-fi throughout the whole resort. The cost is around $20.00 p/day. People staying in the Preferred Club have free computer access.
Negatives-The only negative I can see is they do not have any motorized water sports since there is a protected reef just offshore.
Protection-In room safe at no extra charge. 
Shopping-They have a small shop at the resort for incidentals and small gifts plus you have plenty of shopping in Cancun.
Weather-Mid December through May has the best weather. September and October gets more rain.
