Beach - The resort is in the heart of Acapulco so the beach is wide but congested with people. If you want to get away from it all, this would not be a good choice. Charges (extra) - Since this is not an all-inclusive resort, all meals and services would be extra much like any resort in the United States. They have an interesting charge for your own palapas on the beach at $25.00 for the day but then you get back a $20.00 food credit making it not a bad deal at all. Distances - In the heart of hotel row so convenient to everything in Acapulco.
Fitness Area -Small but nice, they have the basic equipment. Food - Their signature restaurant, the Sunset Lounge serves what they call Asian Fusion cuisine. They also have a cool martini bar serving tapas. My kind of place! Getting Around - Taxi is the most convenient since you are so close to everything. Internet Access -They have free cable access in the rooms and wireless access in the lobby with a charge. The Executive floors provide free wireless.
Kids - I was surprised how family friendly they were and had one of the larger kids clubs for ages 4-12. Babysitting is also offered at an additional charge. Little Known Fact-You can order the firmness of your bed mattress which is a novel idea. Depending on your preference they have different mattress toppers making it softer or firmer. Medical Services -Doctor on site during the day and on call in the evening. Negatives -The vendors on the beach can be annoying to those who are not used to it.
Pool - They have a large intertwining pool with pool slide. They also have a VIP adults only pool. Protection - Electronic safety deposit boxes in each room. Recreation - Water sports equipment is available at the resort for an extra charge. Rooms -Their standard rooms are large for Mexico and they great thing is all rooms are ocean front. Shopping - Small gift shop on property and a large shopping plaza directly across the street.
Terrain - Typical high rise resort with two towers but very contained so you do not have to walk a mile to get from your room to the beach. Tipping-I would say use the same rules of thumb as you would do staying at a resort in the United States. A dollar goes a long way here. View-Fantastic views from al of the rooms. Weather-June through October is rainy season but more of the rain comes overnight. Acapulco boasts over 330 days of sunshine. November through April are the nicest months of the year
X-Y-Z -I have to say this resort exceeded my expectations on all levels. Not so much being an overly fancy or luxurious resort but one that offers more value for the money. The rooms, the dining, and the location makes this one of my favorites in Acapulco. See more pictures: Click Here |

You have a choice of kiddies activities inside the hotel and the pool and beach areas are under the constant watchful eye of the qualified staff. In the children’s center, the kids can romp and enjoy a variety of activities, playground equipment, and can take in great kiddies’ movies or watch their favorite TV programs and shows.. Children's Facilities Babysitting Fee: $10.00 per hour

Ambiance -Fun and friendly is the best way to describe this resort. It's minimalist style with an Asian flair makes the lobby look hip. They are in the process of moving under the Marriott brand which means they will only get better. The resort was nicer than what I was expecting so it was a treat to visit.
Entertainment on Property -
During high season they will have theme nights two nights a week. 
Jackets and Ties - Keep them at home, but people tend to dress up more for dinner in Acapulco.
Nightlife -Acapulco is known for its nightlife. Things don't really get started until midnight and go until 5am. I on the other hand am sleeping by midnight and awake by 5am. 
Spa- I have to say they had one of the nicer spas in Acapulco.
WOW Factor-The ocean front rooms and for me the martini bar.
