Beach-The beach is nice, but a tad rocky when you get out into the ocean which is pretty common in this stretch of the Riviera Maya. Charges (extra) - Spa treatments, long distance and business services. The Brazilian restaurant also has a surcharge for dinner and show. Distances- In the Riviera Maya about 10-15 minutes from Playa del Carmen.
Fitness Area - A very nice fitness center with all the usual suspects. Food- The have 4 restaurants here, 3 are specialty restaurants serving Mexican, Japanese with a Teppanyaki grill and Brazilian cuisine. The Brazilian restaurant includes a show and has a $35.00 p/person surcharge not included with the all-inclusive. This is the only resort out of the hundreds I have inspected that took me back into one of the kitchens since they were so proud of how clean they keep things. I was impressed. Getting Around- Taxi would be the most convenient to get around. I do not suggest renting a car unless you really know your way around driving in Mexico. They also provide a shuttle twice a day to Playa del Carmen. Internet Access -Wi-FI Internet access from the lobby.
Kids-They have their Crocco Kids Club for ages 4-12 with age appropriate activities, crafts and games. They also have babysitting services on request and at an extra charge. Little Known Fact- Wonder what H10 stands for? Well I did. The "H" is the brand of the company based in Spain and the 10 stands for the level of service they strive for on a scale of 1-10. Medical Services-On call medical services. Negatives- I wish they did not charge for the Brazilian restaurant and show. When people stay at an all-inclusive the expectations are everything is included other than Spa services.
Opportunities-Take advantage of the aggressive prices,since they are a smaller resort. Pool-They two pools, one is more for adults and the large free form pool has a shallow section for the kids. This is also one of the few resorts that has an outdoor jacuzzi. Protection-In room safe. Recreation-All-inclusive Service includes non-motor water Sports, tennis, transportation to Playa del Carmen (twice daily, reservation required), Sauna and Jacuzzi in the Spa.
Shopping-Small shops at the resort and plenty of shopping in Playa del Carmen. Spa-They have spa facilities with your typical massages, manicures, facials etc. Terrain-A very small resort with low rise buildings spread out among beautiful landscape. Updates-Nothing to report at this time. View-The way the resort is laid out your rooms would have views of the grounds.
WOW Factor-Pride in their property was very evident. X-Y-Z-This resort offers great value if you prefer a smaller more quite resort without all the bells and whistles. Click here for more pictures of the resort. |

H 10 Hacienda Maya is an All-Inclusive beachfront resort surrounded by extensive tropical landscaping of hibiscus and bougainvillea. Each of the 320 air-conditioned rooms is housed within a two-story bungalow unit, with eight rooms per bungalow. Guests will find themselves captivated by the dazzling landscape of the surrounding garden areas, while the wide selection of land and water sports is sure to please. Ambiance-I have been wanting to see this resort for a while since H10 took over the Madarin. This still ranks as some of the best kept grounds in the Riviera Maya. It is a smaller resort with only 200 rooms allowing them to give more attention to service.
Entertainment on Property -They have many different activities during the day and theme shows in the evening. 
Jackets and Ties- Keep them at home, but bring slacks and polo shirt for dinner in the Specialty restaurants.
Nightlife- They have shows and theme nights in the evening and you are not too far away from Playa del Carmen with the bars and nightlife there. 
Rooms-All the rooms here are standard rooms but the ones in the main building are a tad larger.
Weather-Mid December through May has the best weather. September and October gets more rain.
