Beach-The beach is about 400 meters long and very nice. There are some small sections off the beach that have what they call surf breakers that help protect against erosion. Charges (extra) - Spa treatments, long distance and business services like internet access would be extra. Distances- A little over an hour south of Cancun and less than half and hour north of Tulum. I would suggest paying a little more to get the nonstop transfers. Entertainment on Property -All three resorts share the disco and entertainment in the evening over at what they call Caribbean Village. There is also plenty of activities during the day. Fitness Area - They have a pretty decent fitness area and Spa.
Getting Around- Taxi is the best bet for I do not suggest you renting a car unless you really know what you are doing driving in Mexico. Internet Access -They have wi-fi access from the Hacienda at the Caribbean Village but no internet access from the rooms. Jackets and Ties- Keep them at home, but bring slacks and polo shirt for dinner in the Specialty restaurants.
Little Known Fact-Not many all-inclusive resorts have outdoor jacuzzis. This one does! Medical Services-On call medical services. Negatives- If you want a small little resort, this would not be a good fit for you. This is a large resort. I tend to like larger resorts so not a negative to me personally but might be to others. Nightlife- They have entertainment in the evening and their own disco shared by all three resorts. Opportunities- This resort offers an upgraded level of service and rooms called the Club Golden and Club Premier. This is a private club within the resort where you have a private reception upon arrival, exclusive use of the Tequila restaurant for breakfast and lunch, the rooms are closer to the beach with it's own pool and swim up bar, jacuzzi and children's section. Where guests are limited to 3 specialty restaurants for a week stay, Club Golden gets 4 and Club Premier gets 5. You also get free internet access.
Protection-In room safe. Recreation- Since this is such a large complex there is no lack of stuff to do while here. You can enjoy non-motorized and motorized waters sports: windsurf, catamarans, Banana Boat, etc. You also have the opportunity to participate in scuba diving, tennis, volleyball, aerobics classes, dance classes, play golf and go horseback riding. They also have the animation teams for fun and games. Rooms- They have both standard rooms and Junior Suites offering Garden views Partial Ocean views and Ocean views. All have a jacuzzi tub which is nice. The rooms will either have 2 full size beds or 1 king size bed. Shopping-They have an area that they call the Caribbean Village and this is where they have all their shops and the evening entertainment.
Terrain-Keep in mind between this and the sister resorts this is a very large complex. The thing I noticed more in this section is the pool is more intertwining among the trees. Updates-They are building their own golf course hopefully open the end of 2008 or early 2009.. View-Right on the ocean, very nice views. Weather-Mid December through May has the best weather. September and October gets more rain. WOW Factor-The size of the resort and all of the amenities that can be shared between the properties. X-Y-Z-I think as far as getting your most for your money, you will be hard pressed to find other resorts offering as many options. It is worth the long ride to get here. More Pictures Click Here
