Beach - The beach is pretty typical for this area, not quite as nice as up north in Nuevo Vallarta. It is a public beach so be prepared for the vendors. Charges (extra) - Spa services, motorized water sports, and business center services would be extra. Distances - In what is called the hotel zone only a 5-10 minute taxi into town. Entertainment on Property - More subdued than the sister property next door the Crown Paradise Club that caters to families. They have pool activities during the day and entertainment in the evening.
Food - They have 3 restaurants 1 of which is their specialty restaurant. You also have access to the 4 restaurants at their sister property next door The Crown Paradise Club, 2 of which are a-la-carte serving Asian and an international cuisine. You may eat at the Specialty restaurant at the Golden Crown as many times as you wish. If you are staying 4 nights, you get 1 dinner coupon to experience a Specialty restaurant at the Crown Paradise Club. If staying 5-7 nights you get 2 dinner coupons for the Crown Paradise Club. They also have 24 hour room service which not all the resorts have. They only have local beer but both local and imported spirits. Getting Around - Taxi is the most convenient since you are so close to town. This is very conveniently located, close to the airport, downtown and you can even walk over to the marina if you wanted to. Internet Access -They have wireless internet access from the rooms but be prepared to pay about $30 for the day.
Kids - Leave the kids at home since this ia an adults only resort. Their sister property next door, the Crown Paradise Club is fantastic for families with children. Little Known Fact-They are one of the few all-inclusive resorts that has a hospitality room for people who have late flights or are checking in early. Medical Services -On call medical services. Negatives - The Golden Crown Paradise Club is not a new fancy resort. What they lack in physical surroundings they make up for 10 times in how they treat their guests.
Pool - They have a nice pool next to the beach making it very convenient. Protection - In room safe at no additional charge . Recreation - They have the typical non motorized water sports and access to the motorized water sports. They also have two clay tennis courts which brings me back to my tennis days growing up in Ft Lauderdale. Rooms -I felt their rooms were very nice size and very well decorated. When you check in they usually will have a nice flower arrangement on the bed spelling out welcome, or happy honeymoon. A little thing is they have coffee makers in the room. This might not seem like a big deal but I have been in fancier all-inclusive's that do not. All the rooms are at least ocean view.
Spa- They offer spa services in a small spa. Terrain - This is not a large spread out property by any means. You can be on the beach from your room in minutes. Tipping-A couple of dollars a day for your maid, and a dollar for bar and restaurant servers. Don't feel you have to tip each time other than the maid. They will be so appreciative since most people will not tip at an all-inclusive. View-I like this area of Puerto Vallarta since the views of the ocean, city and mountains are a great combination.
WOW Factor-They really make you feel at home here. Also being adults only more quiet than some of the other resorts. You also can't beat the location for convenience to everything. X-Y-Z -For couples who want a good moderate adults only resort, they will be very pleased with the Golden Crown Paradise. No one under 18 permitted at hotel. The Golden Crown Paradise Resort is an adults only property however, they do share some common areas with the sister family oriented hotel which would be the theater, tennis courts and sports area. As an option we are offering our clients to make reservations at the "Sans Soucis" Restaurant located at Crown Paradise Club (next door) or they can enjoy dinner at any of the other 3 Restaurants at the Golden Crown Paradise that offer dinner service ("Paradise" themed Restaurant, "Los Gallos" Mexican cuisine, or "Bellavista" Terrace., plus our "The Breeze" Beach & Sushi Bar? or take advantage of the exchange privileges the Golden guest have, to use the services & facilities of our sister property Crown Paradise Club. Ambiance -I was very pleased when I stayed here recently. This is a smaller adults only resort in what is known as the hotel zone. This is a good moderate property and the staff makes their guests feel very welcome. One of the nice things they do for couples like honeymooners is they put a nice sign outside the door with their names on it for example, John and Jane Smith's Casa. They really want you to feel at home here.
Fitness Area - A small but adequate fitness center but hey, you are on vacation!
Jackets and Ties - Keep them at home, but long pants and a collared shirt is required for the men in the a-la-carte restaurants.
Nightlife - They have shows in the evening and plenty of nightlife in town.
Shopping - Small gift shop on property. Plenty of shopping in Puerto Vallarta.
Weather-Try to avoid August and September, monsoon season. But I have had families stay in this region during these months and they had great weather. I was there in September and it was nice everyday and only rained in the evening. Who knows anymore! December through April is just perfect.
