Beach-The beach is coming back after the damage from hurricanes Wilma and Dean. All in all the beach is in good condition. Charges (extra) - Spa treatments and business services would be extra. Distances- On the south end of the hotel zone and very convenient to the airport only about 15 minutes away
Fitness Area - A decent fitness room, nothing fancy. But hey, you are on vacation, leave the sneaks at home, they just take up valuable room in your luggage. Food- 5 restaurants of which 1 is a specialty restaurant serving a varied menu each evening. No reservations are required which is nice. I remember the food was pretty good when I stayed at the other Solaris so my expectations would be the same for here. Getting Around- Very easy to get around by taxi or the bus. I take the bus all the time there unless I have to be somewhere quickly. The bus is very inexpensive. Internet Access - They have wireless internet access in the lobby and ballroom but not in the rooms as of yet.
Kids-They have a small kids club. Though kids are welcome, there are a couple of other resorts in Cancun that are more geared towards children. If the kids normally stick close to the hip this is perfectly fine. Little Known Fact-Many people do not know about the dinner theatre. Medical Services-On call medical services. Negatives- Cancun's hotel zone with all the resorts turns off some people and other people love it.
Opportunities-One of the better values in Cancun. Pool-I am a pool person and I was impressed with the pool area. I could see myself sipping a tall one by the pool. Protection-In room safe. Recreation-They have activities at the resort but it will be a bit more subdued than other all inclusive's. Rooms- Where other resorts have 15 zillion room types (ok I exaggerate, 14 zillion), they keep it simple with 2 room types. The rooms are small but very adequate.
SPA- I thought it was a decent spa with all the normal treatments. If you have read my other reviews I am not a big spa person so take my views with a grain of salt when it comes to the spa. Terrain- Very easy to get around and since it is pretty self contained, easy to get fro you room to the beach without walking for miles. View-Fantastic views of the ocean. Weather-December through May are the driest months. September through November are the wettest months with June getting more rainfall than July. WOW Factor-Such eloquence for what you pay to stay here. X-Y-Z- I am impressed how well this resort prices. I think the smaller rooms and only 1 specialty restaurant has to do with it compared to other resorts but if you do not want to spend an arm and a leg, this should exceed your expectations.
