Beach - Very large and somewhat private. Though all beaches in Acapulco are technically public, its location makes it hard to reach for other than its guests. Very quiet. Charges (extra) - Since this is not an all-inclusive resort, all meals and services would be extra much like any resort in the United States. Distances - In the Acapulco Diamonte area closer to the airport and 20-30 minutes from downtown.
Fitness Area - Since Fairmont took over the property, they added a brand new fitness area. Food - They have 2 restaurants, Tabacin serving French cuisine and my favorite called La Terraza serving fine Mexican dishes. The terrace sits along the beach with lush vines intertwining the roof making it for a really nice setting. They also have Pierre's Cafe & Delicatessen which is a great place to get a sandwich or ice cream. Getting Around - Taxi or rental car. Taxis into town will be expensive due to the location. I have rented cars in Mexico before but I am not sure I could handle the driving in Acapulco.
Jackets and Ties - Keep them at home, but this is a more refined resort so dressing up for dinner would be very appropriate. Kids - The resort has a children's program called Pierre Aventura, It offers a children playground and variety of activities such as basketball, soccer, painting lessons, water polo, water volleyball and more. Babysitting services are available at an approximate price of $5 USD/hour per child. The guest is also responsible for the babysitter's transportation which is $12 USD. Little Known Fact-Once the private hideaway of J. Paul Getty. Medical Services -On call medical services.
Nightlife -Acapulco is known for its nightlife. Things don't really get started until midnight and go until 5am. I on the other hand am sleeping by midnight and awake by 5am. Pool -They have two pools, one being brand new overlooking the beach and ocean. Nothing fancy but makes for a relaxing day. Protection - Electronic safety deposit boxes in each room. Recreation - They have 5 lighted tennis courts, two championship golf courses and access to water sports.
Shopping - There is a couple of small shops on the resort. There is plenty of shopping in town. Spa- They do offer spa and beauty shop services. Terrain - This is a very small resort so getting around is quite easy. You can be from any room in the resort to the beach and pool in no time. A complete contrast to the Fairmont Acapulco Princess next door. Tipping-I would say use the same rules of thumb as you would do staying at a resort in the United States. A dollar goes a long way here.
Weather-June through October is rainy season but more of the rain comes overnight. Acapulco boasts over 330 days of sunshine. November through April are the nicest months of the year WOW Factor-The level of service here since it is a Fairmont property will be excellent. Given the fact it is such a small resort, the level of attention is fantastic. X-Y-Z -This is a very refined resort. Most of the guests are repeats and some come back year after year. Ambiance -I felt I was stepping back in time to what staying in Acapulco was like 50 years ago. What a contrast to its larger sister property next door. This can almost be considered a small boutique hotel. Rooms, bungalows and villas are spread out across beautiful landscaped grounds along the beach. 
Entertainment on Property -
This is a very quiet resort so if you are expecting a lot of glitz and glamour you will not find it here. 
Internet Access -They have internet access in most of the rooms and you may also use one of their PCs in the business center.
Negatives -You have to remember this is a 50 year old property so if you like new a modern this is not a good fit. 
Rooms -The rooms are nice size even for the standard rooms. The bungalows are even more spacious and secluded. 
View-Since the highest room would be only 5 floors the views are not the same as some of the high rises in Acapulco but wonderful none the less.
