Ambiance - I have been wanting to see this resort for quite a while and the wait was worth it. My expectations were of a good solid 3 star resort and I can tell you from the minute I walked into the lobby my expectations were exceeded. It is still a small family owned resort but I think it is one of the better resorts on the island.
Charges (extra) - Diving, motorized water sports, and spa treatments would be extra. Distances - Only 5 minutes from San Miguel and convenient to the airport. No hour long drive to get to the resort once you arrive. Entertainment on Property - Theme nights that include live entertainment. Fitness Area - A very adequate room with fitness equipment. Food - The are 3 restaurants, 1 is ala-carte called La Veranda. The dining experience is very local so if you are looking for numerous dining choices, this might not be your cup of tea. The owners want to keep it this way though and want their guests to enjoy a local culinary experience. A word of warning for the guys. Bring at least one pair of long trousers and nice shirt to wear at dinner if you want to get into La Veranda. I guess the women can wear whatever they want. Not complaining mind you.
Internet Access -Not yet but in the plans. Jackets and Ties - Keep them at home, but bring slacks and polo shirt for dinner in the A la Carte restaurant. The last seating of the evening does not have a dress code which is nice. Kids - This resort is very family friendly and the kids activity program is low key and professionally staffed. They want the parents to feel comfortable that the kids are safe and having fun. They do offer babysitting for ages 1 year and up. The kids Club is open from 10am to 5pm each day for ages 5-12. They have age appropriate activities such as games, competitions, movies, popcorn, handicrafts and pool activities. Lighting -The resort is well laid out and well lit at night. Medical Services -On call medical services. Negatives - For some the lack of many restaurant choices but that is the way they want to keep it. Also no internet access. Nightlife - Theme parties at night at the property and nightlife in town. Much more lay back than Cancun though. Opportunities - Ocean Tours is the on site diving facility and recognized for many years as the top dive operators in Cozumel. The diving opportunities here are fabulous. Also, they offer a 30% discount on green fees on the golf course across the street. Pool - Not only do they have a great outdoor pool but they are the only resort that has an indoor pool making it unique. There is also a quiet adult pool to relax and read your book. Protection - In room safe at no additional charge. Recreation - If water sports and diving is your game, they have it. Golf is across the street. Rooms -Another plus about this resort is the oversize rooms and I mean all of them are larger than what you would normally see in Cozumel. They are also one of the only resorts that have true oceanfront views with balconies. The old tower actually has the larger rooms and all were recently refurbished. The Deluxe rooms are in the corners. Adjoining rooms are available with a shared interior door. Bedding is one King bed and a sleeper sofa. Shopping - Small gift shop on property. Plenty of shopping in Playa del Carmen and San Miguel. Terrain - Very self contained and you don't feel like you have to walk miles to get from your room to the beach. Tipping-Not required but as with any service industry, if your bartender, room service attendant or concierge really shines, they will appreciate the small gratuity since most people will not be tipping anyway. Updates-Just went through a renovation and remodel, then another renovation after the hurricane so it is looking very good.
Weather-December through May are the driest months. September through October are the wettest. Mid November to mid December offers the least crowds and great weather. WOW Factor-The oversize rooms, snorkeling and diving opportunities. X-Y-Z-Probably one of the best values in Cozumel and really a diamond in the rough. The welcoming attitude sets it apart. Beach - The beach is not as big as before the hurricane but still nice and one of the few resorts where you can snorkel right off the beach. There is a dive shop right off the beach making it a perfect resort for the divers. 
Getting Around - Can you say TAXI? Actually since it is so close to town, a taxi does not cost an arm and a leg. You are also close to San Miguel and the airport.
View-As mentioned before one of the few resorts that offer a true Ocean View with a balcony.
