Beach-The beach is a little bit more rocky than some of the other areas but the water is calm since it is boarded by a marina. I would say you need to be more of a pool person at this resort. Charges (extra) - Spa services and some of the motorized water sports. Distances-A great location right in the heart of the Puerto Aventuras development walking distance to shops and right next to the marina. Entertainment on Property -Varied entertainment and activities during the day and evening. They have a Stargazing Rock and Roll Party weekly that is fun for families. Fitness Area - They have a decent size fitness area with most of the machines that one would need. I always have good intentions of working out but somehow I find myself at the pool rather than in the gym.
Getting Around- You are walking distance to the little shops in the area. Taxi would be my next choice. I would not advise renting a car unless you know what you are doing. Internet Access -There is an hourly charge for internet access and at the time I was there they did not have internet access in the rooms. Jackets and Ties- Keep them at home but men will need slacks and a polo shirt for the a-la-carte restaurants. This is pretty standard at most of the all-inclusive resorts. Kids-They have what they call their Explorers Club for kids 3-12. This is one of the few resorts that will allow a 3 year old into the the program, most require the kids to be at least 4-5 years old. Lighting-The resort is well laid out and well lit at night. Medical Services-On call medical services.
Nightlife- You won't find the large stage productions like at the larger resorts so expect a little more lay back atmosphere. Opportunities-This resort was completely renovated from hurricane Wilma in 2005 so almost like new. They also have a great dive program with reefs just off the property. Pool-They have three pools with one specifically designated for the kids, one for everyone and one being adults only. They are also one of the few that have a large outdoor jacuzzi. Protection-In room safes. Recreation-They have bicycles, kayaks, hobiecats, ping pong and beach volleyball. Water sports are still the main focus. Rooms-The rooms are really nice now after the renovations, very vibrant in colors. Nice size with good views of the ocean or marina. Shopping-Small gift shop on property. Most of your shopping will be in the Puerto Aventuras area.
Updates-This was updated to a Dreams property in 2007 so even better than before. View-Ocean and Marina view rooms are on request. Weather-January through March are the driest months. October through November are the wettest months. WOW Factor-Small and quaint. X-Y-Z-I am very glad Dreams took over for now the resort is better than ever. Click here for more pictures

Ambiance-This is a good choice for families on a budget that want a smaller all-inclusive resort. Its design makes it easy to get from your room to the pool or beach without walking a mile. Like Secrets and Dreams, those silly plastic wrist bands are not required here. 
Food- 5 restaurants of which 3 are a la carte serving seafood, Italian and Mexican cuisine. The Seafood restaurant is Adults only so keep that in mind.
Negatives-If you want a larger fancy resort, this would not be a great fit. Plus, if you want a pristine beach this might not be a good fit. 
Terrain-Small resort in a U shape surrounding the pool and opening up to the beach and ocean.
