Ambiance-A bit of paradise in the Hotel Zone jungle. This use to be the class act of Cancun and now that Dreams has taken it over, it once again has elevated itself to be one of the best resorts in Cancun.
Charges (extra) - Spa treatments would be extra. Distances-I say this is one of the best locations for you are right across the street from all the nightlife and a short taxi ride into downtown. Entertainment on Property -They have entertainment in the evening and two theme parties each week. Since you have all the nightlife at your doorstep, there are plenty of options for entertainment. Fitness Area - A very nice fitness and Spa area. I have to say this is one of the biggest improvements Dreams made when they took over the property. Food- 5 restaurants featuring Seafood, International, Pan Asian cuisine. Another benefit of Dreams is they do not limit the amount of times you dine at a specialty restaurant. Getting Around- Such a great location that you can walk to many of the shops and nightlife.
Jackets and Ties- Keep them at home, but bring slacks and polo shirt for dinner in the A la Carte restaurants and some nightclubs. Kids- Don't let the name fool you. Many couples think that Dreams is couples only but they actually cater to couples and families. Because of the location I would say more couples stay here because of the nightlife. Lighting-The resort is well laid out and well lit at night. Medical Services-On call medical services. Negatives- Since you are right in the hub of activity some people are turned off by the congestion while others love having all the nightlife and shopping at their fingertips. Opportunities-Dreams offers a great honeymoon package with certain room types.
Protection-In room safe. Recreation-Water sports, tennis, golf nearby and a great Spa and fitness area. Rooms- Ok, get out your room decoder ring for they have many room types. Any of the room types that have the word dolphin in it like Dolphin Oceanview or Dolphinfront are in the pyramid facing the lagoon where they train and do the swim with the dolphins. The One Bedroom Master suites have a king bed in the bedroom, and a sofa in the living room that will sleep a child (not a pull out sleeper). You may request a rollaway to sleep another child. They have oceanfront rooms in the tower on the lower floors that have either one king or two double beds. The Preferred Club rooms in the towers are on the higher floors and enjoy a private lounge area, evening cocktails and hors d'oeuvres and private concierge service. They also have Master One Bedroom suites with jacuzzis and in the Preferred Tower section, they have One and Two Bedroom Suites. The two bedroom suites have a king in the one bedroom and 2 double beds in the 2nd bedroom. Did I totally confuse you? Shopping-Access to great shopping all within walking distance. Terrain-Very easy to get around this resort. Updates-Dreams honeymoon package.
Weather-December through May are the driest months. September through November are the wettest months. WOW Factor-The location makes this one of the best choices if you are going to stay in the Hotel Zone. X-Y-Z-Once again, this goes back to the top of my list for Cancun. The following is David's professional opinion from a recent hotel inspection.
Beach- The hotel sits on the tip of the peninsula and on one side you have a small quaint beach with a view of the ocean and other hotels and on the other side, probably the best beaches for swimming and relaxing for it is blocked by the trade winds.
Internet Access -They now have wi-fi access from anywhere in the resort including your room which is nice. There is a charge for internet access. 
Pool- Not the big fancy pool like other resorts but it has all the basics, water, pool chairs, and most important, the swim up pool bar! The great thing is the pool is just steps from the beach and ocean. 
View-If you want a view of the water you cannot go wrong here for it sits on the tip of the peninsula.
