Ambiance - This is one of my favorite Disney Resorts along with its sister property Yacht Club. It is considered one of Disney's Deluxe resorts and I would agree. The theme of this property is the feel of being on the beach as much as one can do smack dab in the middle of Florida. But if anyone can do it, Disney can. The best part of this property is you can walk into Epcot or take the short ferry boat. This is great after the laser light show to be able to walk back to your hotel and not deal with the masses for the transportation.
Beach - The theme of this hotel is to be on the beach and even the pool is sand bottom. The kids really love that!
Charges (extra) - Like any traditional hotel, unless you are on Disney's meal package all food and ancillary purchases are extra.
Distances -One of the only Disney properties where you can walk from your hotel room into one of the theme parks, in this case Epcot.
Entertainment on Property -
Unlike some of the other Disney resorts like Boardwalk, they try and keep a more subdued atmosphere. Again they are catering to a more upscale crowd.
Fitness Area - They do have a fitness area for the diehards that need to keep on a schedule. Most people are warn out from all the walking they do in the theme parks.

Food - There are two main restaurants and a ice cream/burger place. Try and take advantage of the character breakfast at Cape May Cafe (advanced reservations required).
Getting Around - You have access to all of Disney's transportation and can literally get to any of the theme parks on the ferry boat system right at the hotel.
Internet Access -Wi Fi access from the common areas
Jackets and Ties - Keep them at home, you are at Disney World. Unless of course you are there for a conference.
Kids -This is DISNEY, enough said. Even for big kid adults like myself, there is plenty for the adults too.
Lighting -The resort is well laid out and well lit at night. You can even take a romantic walk along the river way that connects the other parks.
Medical Services -On call medical services.
Negatives - Unless you are a Disney fan like myself or you are doing it for the kids, the Disney experience is not for everyone. And if you think Disney is cheap, think again. Disney never has nor ever will be cheap and that is why they maintain their quality standards. Cheap, no..great value, YES!
Nightlife - Plenty of nighttime activities in the theme parks depending on the time of year and with Downtown Disney and Pleasure Island, there is plenty for the adults.
Opportunities -Anytime you stay at a Disney Resort, you can get into the parks earlier, avoid the madness of parking and can take advantage of Disney's transportation. Also, for resort guests only, Disney has a meal package that can save money over what you would spend there otherwise.

Pool - I love the sand bottom pool and the kids will like the slides.
Protection - In room safe
at no additional charge
.
Recreation - Ok, let's review...DISNEY
Rooms - The rooms at this property are a bit larger than some of the other Disney Resorts. They did it right by putting two sinks in the bathroom! Don't expect oversize rooms at any other the Disney hotels. They want you in the theme parks, not spending all your time in the room. Smart huh?
Shopping -Oh my goodness, if you cannot find what you want with the mouse ears on it you are not looking hard enough.
Terrain - I really like how they have laid out the property.
Tipping- Disney is known for their service. If you take care of the person cleaning your room, they are the ones in my opinion that work the hardest.
Updates-50th anniversary!
View-Designed with the Yacht Club to reflect two upscale properties overlooking the water and marina.
Weather-November through April are the nicest months. If you really want to work up a sweat, visit in July, August or September.
WOW Factor-The wow factor is the proximity to Epcot and also how they designed the resort to make you feel you were off the water
X-Y-Z-Ranks as one of my favorites.
