Ambiance-Very open and airy compared to some of the other resorts that have a more dense jungle feel. This is one of those resorts that prices very well and you get good value without a high price.
Beach-The beaches in the southern end of the island are much nicer than the northern end. The Allegro has one of the nicest stretches of beach.
Charges (extra) - Spa treatments would be extra.
Distances- You are about 20 minutes from town in the southern end of the island.
Entertainment on Property -Varied entertainment and activities during the day and evening.
Fitness Area - They have a decent fitness area, not as large as some of the others but hey, you are on vacation!
Food- 3 restaurants of which 2 are A la Carte serving Italian and Mexican cuisine.
Getting Around- Taxi or car rental unless you want to take your life into your own hands renting one of those scooters.
Internet Access -There is an hourly charge for internet access.
Jackets and Ties- Keep them at home, but bring slacks and polo shirt for dinner in the A la Carte restaurants.
Kids-Very family friendly and kids under 12 stay and eat free.
Lighting-Well lit at night.
Medical Services-On call medical services.
Negatives- I would say the rooms are much smaller than some of the other resorts.
Nightlife- They have their own small theatre for shows. There is some nightlife in San Miguel but for the most part, Cozumel is very quiet.
Opportunities-Kids under 12 stay and eat free so families can take advantage of the value.
Pool-They have one pool where all the activities take place and another one that is more quiet and relaxed.
Protection-In room safe.
Recreation-Lots of activities during the day. They are also one of the few resorts that have more than one tennis court with four. Cozumel is known for its beautiful water so water sports are king here.
Rooms-Smaller than many of the resorts and I think why it prices so well. This is one of those places where if someone says I do not care about the room, just as long as it is clean, this is a good fit.
Shopping-Small gift shop on property. Plenty of shopping downtown.
Terrain-Pretty flat, open and airy.
Updates-Nothing new to report.
View-Right on the ocean.
Weather-Mid December to April has the nicest weather with September and October having the highest chance of rain.
WOW Factor-The value you get without breaking the bank.
X-Y-Z-This is one of those places that if you do not want a fancy resort but want to get away and enjoy the beach and water sports, this is a good choice.
