Though they don't believe
in taking your children from you for the entire week that you are at the ranch,
they do want to give you a chance to ride, hike, swim or raft while your children
are supervised and having a good time. During most of their longer activities,
they will have their children's directors running all sorts of activities for
your children. That will include crafts, hiking, games, dress-up, plays, Sunday
School, contests, movies, gold-panning, fishing and sports. They will usually
have one activity each morning, afternoon and evening. One
of the toughest parts of planning a family vacation is finding a place where the
teenagers have a good time along with the rest of the family. They understand
that teens want to have their own approach to a lot of their day, while at the
same time having the chance to do "adult" activities. |

Style Lodging |  |
You have the option of staying
in a private room in our guest lodge or in one of their spacious two, three or
four bedroom cabins, (small homes, actually). Each LODGE ROOM has a private bathroom,
two beds and plenty of storage in the way of closets and drawers for all of your
western duds. The lodge rooms are ideal for couples or a family of three.
Each
CABIN has a fully-equipped kitchen, living room/dining area, fireplace and deck
with a view. No two cabins are alike and they vary as to the number of bedrooms,
bathrooms and size of beds. The cabins are great for families of four or more.
All accommodations are decorated in a western decor and you'll feel right at home
for the week! | |

Bring your appetites! Their
continuous activities will make you hungry for the next awesome meal. Don't miss
theirour Mexican buffet lunch, steak cookout ride/dinner, outdoor Wrangler's breakfast
and cookout lunch with our famous Cowboy Cookies. You'll enjoy lots of homemade
breads and desserts, special western buffets, fresh salads and fruits and a good
variety of Sue's wholesome, hearty and healthy cooking. They will gladly work
with special diets. | |

Hiking and fishing are just
a couple of things your family can enjoy at Deer Valley Ranch. The
ranch is surrounded by beautiful mountain country - God's country - and they're
glad to walk you through it. Their hikes range from easy, one-hour hikes before
breakfast to an all day mountain climb at the end of the week.
Majestic
mountains, blue skies and clear, rocky streams....you won't get a better invitiation
to fish than this. Don't know how we fish their mountain streams and lakes? They
will teach you how to fly fish, first on their lawn and then at one of his secret
fishing spots.

| Deer
Valley Ranch is located in the Southcentral part of Colorado, 100 miles due west
of Colorado Springs, in the San Isabel National Forest. They are two hours from
Colorado Springs and two and a half hours from Denver. |

| Climate |
 | The
average summer temperatures range from 75-95°F, cooler average temperatures
in the spring and fall ranging from 45-75°F, and cold temperatures in the
winter ranging from 20-45°F. There are some afternoon thunderstorms in the
summer months and snow in the winter. Colorado is adored for its sporadic and
sometime surprising weather. |
